Day 16 – “LET ME HEAR YOUR WAR CRY”

Day 16image
This morning as I reflect on Gods grace and His ability to turn a nobody into a great warrior I can’t help but think about David and his battle with Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:45-47
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
David was not intimidated by the outward appearance. He knew 3 things and this morning that’s what I want to share with you
1. He knew he was called

David received the call to battle in the shepherds field. While he tended sheep God called him.

Ladies it’s in the shepherd field that we are trained for battle. We are molded and shaped in the field. It’s not behind the pulpit or in the spotlight, it’s in the field.

I challenge you to put your hands to the plow in the field. Reach souls help transform a life.
2. He knew he had to be committed

David was also committed. He could of got to the front line and seen the giant and so oh no way or I think the sheep are calling my name.

But no he suited up and went to battle. He was committed to see the giant in his life removed for good.

Today ladies lets declare war on the giants that so easily try to cause fear in us. The giants that try to breath down on us or mess with the way we think.

3. He knew only the courages can stand

Lastly, David knew courage for the courageous comes from God. He told the giant.

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Ladies our God gives the courage it takes to battle even the greatest giants in our lives. The victory is ours, we just have to know we’re called, stay committed, and be courages.

Be encouraged today knowing the battle is the Lords and we already have the Victory.

LET ME HEAR YOUR WAR CRY!!

Ready for battle,
Roberta Oliver
