DAY 1 – Any Means Necessary

Greetings Women of God,

It’s been an amazing 4 wks gathering as an army, with each week the momentum for women’s convention growing.

Now it’s time to put everything that has been given to us into action. Women are known for many things, such as readying the children in the morning, preparing meals for their family, doing laundry, mending wounds and getting off to work on time (to name a few). Women are known for being active, busy, multitasking. Even when Luke refers to women he speaks of the way in which they supported the work of Jesus.

Luke 8:1-3 “After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits  and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.”

These women took time out of their busy, never ending to-do list to give of their own resources. Maybe one was wealthy, maybe one could cook, or maybe one knew how to sew; whatever it was that they had to offer they did it in such a way that Luke felt the need to write about it so it would forever be remembered.

Like these women, we all have resources! No matter how seemingly insignificant we think our resources are, we must choose to give it anyway.

We have been equipped, we are armed and so now we must act. Not just be busy with life, but intentionally taking our place and answering this Call to Arms!
