Good Morning Ladies,
In today’s reading we discover the heart of a great woman Mary the mother of Jesus. She is one of the most widely known figures in Christianity. She is most commonly known for her sacrifice and the miracle of Jesus’ birth, but today I want to highlight a character trait in her that we can learn from as woman of God. What seperated Mary from the rest was her obedience to God and it became crucial to the calling God placed over her life.
In Luke 1we see two different reactions to a direct word from God. This chapter starts off talking about Zechariah and his wife in a situation where an angel of the lord appeared to him in the temple and foretold the birth of his son John the Baptist. After the angel of the lord spoke Gods promise to him, Zechariah responded in Luke 1:18“Zechariah asked the angel, How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”Zechariah responded with a question out of doubt and mistrust to Gods word and as a result we find out that his mouth had become mute and wasn’t able to speak until the promise from the angel of the lord had been fulfilled. The second promise God gave in this chapter was to Mary that she should carry the child of God. When the angel finished telling her this miraculous promise she responds with great humility and trust in God. She first asks the angel how could this happen if she was a virgin and the angel explained to her that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and she responded in Luke 1:38
“I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.”
Even though this promise God gave to Mary had never been done before Mary believed God with unshakable faith that was put to the test. Mary had to face her family, the town, and even her husband and she had an attitude of humility and gratefulness to God that he would choose her. Mary was the perfect vessel for God to use because she knew who she was in God.
Today’s challenge is to give a gift to the women’s home. So I would like to encourage you to participate in this challenge and give back to these ladies on the forefront of our ministry.
Lets strive today to be like Mary who carried a countenance of obedience, humility, and selflessness. Lets catch the heartbeat of our Pastors and sow back into the backbone of our church!
Love you and God Bless,

Our Wrong choices always costs us the most. But when we let GO of those things dear to us, we always end up with more!! Mary surely made a God move by saying, “YES Lord!” I desire that heart today!

Humiliation is hard but that is nothing compared to the joy of our LORD, if our God is for us and with us then what could stand against. I am blessed for when I am humiliated at least I have a God to go to! You also have the same God.

Good job ladies! The Mary’s in the bible were humble and grateful women who stood by the Lord. They were appreciated by God that he mentions them in his word to encourage us in this day and time throughout history to show that God truly loves his women. Stay humble and grateful, and near to God’s heart!
