Congratulations Ladies you made it to Day 10!!!
Daily Reading: Esther 4:14-16
Prayer Target: 100% Employment for Everyone in our Church
Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”
Esther was a young, beautiful, orphan girl. Who was raised by her uncle Mordecai. Despite her background God still exalted her and used her. She worshiped God and eventually found favor and was chosen for Queen. Her beauty and character won the heart of Persia’s King. Esther displays wisdom and patience in her difficult situation. She called a fast, asking the Jews to pray for God’s help on her dangerous mission before approaching the King. She operated in God’s will and used her gifts. Due to Esther’s courageous act, whole nations of Jews were saved.
Hadassah, Esther’s Jewish name, comes from the word for ‘myrtle’, a tree whose leaves only release their fragrance when they are crushed. Esther’s true heroism appeared when she and her people were in terrible danger
Esther’s Strengths: A Queen that saved her people possessed these characteristics…
- Courageous: She knew what she had to do, and she knew it could cost her life. And yet she responded, “I perish, I perish.”
- Kept her values & Principles: Even though God was not mentioned in this book, it’s very clear that Esther had a deep abiding faith in God.
- Prepared: She gathered supported, prayed, and fasted before her challenging situation.
- Pleasant & Smart: She showed wisdom and patience in her approach with everyone she came in contact with to see God’s will done.
- Boldness: She determined a course of action and move ahead boldly. She didn’t think too long about it, allowing the time between to lessen her commitment to what she had to do.
Lessons from ESTHER’S LIFE:
- Your background shouldn’t hinder your future with God. Your background doesn’t determine what God can do with you, your FAITH does. Be encouraged women to look forward!
- Esther’s life demonstrates an example of God’s divine guidance and care over your life. Although you may question certain circumstances in your life, you must have FAITH that God is in control, working through both the pleasant and difficult times so that you can serve him effectively.
- Mordecai reminded Esther that perhaps God made her queen to meet the challenge that Haman posed to her people. Perhaps we have come to our own “Kingdom” for God’s special purpose through us.
- Wherever God has placed you he can use you to speak his truth, words of love, justice, and FAITH to the lost world.
- Esther was a model young adult. While she was free to act as she chose, she carefully weighed Mordecai’s advice. Even though we may be in high position wherever we serve God in, (At work, school, church or at home) we should be like Esther and still regarding the advice that come to us.
Rather than dreading difficult situations or putting them off, take action with confidente by following Esther’s espiring example.
Challenge of Day: Lead Someone to Jesus (Make it a LIFESTYLE)

Last night after drama pratice I went home and just broke in prayer, they practiced the part – woman with the issue of blood and it lead me to be desperate and determined in this Christian walk.
This year, this fast has a much more intense purpose on me. Be it that I’m getn older, more personal responsibility….. just want to make the Godly coices
